Serving Greater Los Angeles
Blue Moon is well-equipped to handle any size disinfection need. We have a large arsenal of electrostatic sprayers that dispense positively-charged viruscide onto negatively-charged surfaces. When performed correctly, electrostatic spraying affords improved surface-coverage.
In addition to our electrostatic spraying, we provide ULV (or Ultra Low Volume) Fogging. Both spraying and fogging are highly effective methods for delivering disinfectant, maximizing surface coverage, and enhancing dwell-time.
Using our proprietary, chemical-free UV-C Light Disinfection equipment, our trained and certified technicians can disinfect surfaces in a fraction of the time it takes using chemical applications.
According to the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention, coronavirus can linger in indoor air for several hours. At Blue Moon Cleaning of Greater Los Angeles we provide best-in-class technology to safeguard our client’s employees and visitors from harmful viral and bacterial spread. We’re frequently asked “how can my company decontaminate spaces safely while our employees or crews are still working in the environment to be treated”? Our answer is Hydroxyl Generation.
Yes! We offer varying types and levels of cleaning & disinfection. These levels depend upon the number of people present in the space, the size of the space, and whether someone in the space has tested positive for COVID-19.
We can make a huge difference at slowing or stopping viral spread by simply maintaining a regimen of routine cleaning and disinfection. Blue Moon is equipped to handle all of your cleaning, disinfection, and restoration needs.

RECOMMENDATIONS
In order to reduce the potential spread of harmful viruses and bacteria, it is recommended to properly clean and disinfect commonly-touched or contacted surfaces on a routine basis. In the case of COVID-19 (aka "coronavirus") and other viral pathogens, the vast majority of common household cleaners and disinfectants do not contain the chemicals registered by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for specific use in the fight against coronavirus. Use only those chemicals that appear on EPA List "N" for specific application for covid-19.
HOW LONG CAN VIRUSES LIKE CORONAVIRUS LIVE ON SURFACES AND IN AIR? The Centers For Disease Control (CDC) estimates that COVID-19 can remain live and active on surfaces for 3-days. The CDC also states that the COVID-19 virus can remain airborne for 3 hours. Research of this virus is ongoing and fluid.
PEACE OF MIND
Although technically there is no cure for viruses, peace of mind comes from knowing that commonly touched surfaces have undergone proper cleaning and disinfection using only EPA-Registered antimicrobials or other proven technology designated for use against COVID-19.
Proper cleaning and disinfection are only a couple essential components of what should always be an all-inclusive, comprehensive approach to preventing viral spread. Washing hands and avoiding hand-to-face contact are also extremely essential components.
Prior to performing a cleanse and disinfect we ask several questions about the environment. Here is a sampling of some of those questions:
The answers to these questions will help us better-design a cleaning and disinfection protocol that is just right for your situation.
In light of the current fight to stop the potential spread of COVID-19 (a/k/a "novel coronavirus"), Blue Moon Cleaning & Restoration offers environmental surface cleansing and disinfecting using only anti-microbial agents which are registered by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for use in the fight against the spread of COVID-19 a/k/a "Novel Coronavirus).
According to the CDC, novel coronavirus may remain viable for days on surfaces made from a variety of materials. Thorough cleansing and disinfecting of these surfaces is a best practice measure for prevention of the spread of Coronavirus and other viral respiratory illnesses. You can learn more about what the CDC has published by clicking here.
Our approach follows the recommendations and/or registrations laid out by the U.S. Centers For Disease Control (CDC) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and may include a complete surfactant cleanse and anti-microbial treatment of designated "high touch" surfaces including hand-railings, chair railings, tabletops, elevator push-buttons, knobs, handles, levers, doors, turnstiles, walls, countertops, fixtures, equipment, furniture, and other commonly touched surfaces reducing the likelihood of live viruses remaining active on said surfaces. Our technicians are fully-trained in the correct application of anti-microbial and follow recommended dwell-times to increase efficacy. You can learn more about what the EPA has published on this subject by clicking here.
Cleaning surfaces involves steps that begin with dry wiping or vacuuming dry soils as a starting point followed by application of some type of surfactant or detergent to suspend more latent soils to the surface so they can be extracted or easily wiped away. Cleaning is just as important as Disinfection since poorly cleaned surfaces can negatively impact the efficacy of disinfection agents.
Disinfection involves applying a chemical or non-chemical agent (such as UV Light) to surfaces with the intent to inactivate (or "kill") known pathogens. The objective of disinfection is to help prevent viral spread amongst humans and animals.
Some describe chemical disinfectants as a necessary evil. We know it can be challenging to weigh the pathogen-killing-power of chemicals against the known precautions printed on every label. That's where we add value. Let us help you decide on the right disinfection product and protocol for your needs.
Blue Moon incorporates Ultra-Violet Light Disinfection as part of our disinfection arsenal. We use proprietary state-of-the-art light equipment to deliver adequately high dosages of UV-C light rays (approximately 250+ nanometers) to disinfect high-contact surfaces such as walls, furniture, fixtures, equipment, documents, textiles, and other surfaces where liquid disinfectants might not be the most efficient or appropriate disinfectant.
THE TECHNOLOGY
UVC light inactivates (or "kills") 99.9% of microorganisms when applied correctly, and it has been proven safe and effective at eliminating fungi and germs that cause infectious diseases, including coronavirus, influenza, Ebola, H1N1, and MRSA. Health systems commonly use it for the disinfection of air, water, and various types of medical or hospital surfaces. UVC is non-corrosive, and there is no heat, chemicals, off-gassing, toxins, nor allergens, and it is generally not damaging to materials.
USED IN HOSPITALS FOR OVER 50 YEARS
UVC light equipment has been utilized in hospitals for over 50 years and is recognized for its speed and ability to kill all known pathogens, viruses, bacterias, germs, and "superbugs". Blue Moon utilizes this effective tool in homes and business of all types including theaters, classrooms, offices, manufacturing facilities, and a host of other applications.
ADVANTAGES
UVC Light Disinfection offers several advantages over chemical disinfectants. Chemicals can have harmful and corrosive effects on certain surfaces and, due to off-gassing, can generally be used only in well-ventilated areas. Also, while chemical disinfectants are effective at disinfecting non-porous surfaces (like sealed floors, metals, and countertops), UVC Light is far more effective at disinfecting porous surfaces like textiles, fabrics, and leathers. UVC disinfection can also disinfect the air and does not require the wet dwell times of chemical disinfectants in order to kill harmful contaminants.
